This is a special programme to help children between the ages of five and
thirteen deal with the effects of being a witness to or victim of domestic
violence. The programme helps children work through the effects of this
trauma as well as looking at ways the children can keep themselves safe.
The programme covers safety plans for children, expressing feelings
appropriately and managing anger. A mixture of play, creative activities
and discussion with the children helps them to make sense of the events in
their lives and to re-build self-esteem.
