Out of School Care and Recreation (OSCAR)

Programmes are available to primary school children.

Barnardos operates school holiday programmes in Gisborne and Waitakere. Subsidies are available to those who qualify.

After-school care gives working parents the peace of mind of knowing their child is being cared for in a safe and nurturing environment. In addition, the school holiday programmes provide stimulating and fun activities that children will enjoy.

Children benefit from the opportunity to meet and socialise with other children while also being given the space to concentrate on homework activities.
