Lynn McClelland (Chairperson)

Lynn McClelland is the Director of External Relations and Communications at the University of Canterbury. She has been a member of the Barnardos Board since 2006. Previous to joining the Board, she was a Barnardos senior manager from 2004 to 2005.

Lynn brings to Barnardos extensive experience in strategy, marketing and communications and knowledge from having worked in a variety of roles in corporate, government and not for profit organisations in New Zealand and Australia. She has a five-year old daughter who provides continuous insights into the world of a child.

She is motivated and inspired by the Barnardos vision, to ensure that children come first. She feels that by making a contribution to that via the wide range of services that Barnardos provides is a constant inspiration and challenge.

Lynn enjoys working with the other Barnardos Board members, management and Barnardos staff to help Barnardos achieve its goals and through this, enable as many children as possible to fulfil their potential.
